Treatment Description — Biostimulators
Biostimulators such as Sculptra®, Radiesse®, or similar products are injectable treatments designed to stimulate the body’s natural collagen production rather than just filling wrinkles. These treatments gradually restore facial volume, improve skin texture, and enhance firmness for long-lasting, natural-looking results.
Common treatment areas include:
How it works:Biostimulators use ingredients such as poly-L-lactic acid or calcium hydroxylapatite, which act as scaffolds under the skin to boost collagen production. Results appear gradually over several weeks and can last up to two years depending on the product and treatment area.
Pre-Treatment Instructions
Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and blood-thinning medications 24–48 hours prior to reduce bruising.
Avoid facial treatments, waxing, or exfoliation in the treatment area 1–2 weeks prior.
Disclose all medications, medical conditions, or allergies before treatment.
Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup or skincare products.
Eat a light meal before your appointment to prevent dizziness or lightheadedness.
Post-Treatment Instructions
Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising may occur and usually resolves within a few days.
Apply cold compresses intermittently for the first 24 hours to minimize swelling.
Avoid rubbing, massaging, or applying pressure to treated areas for 24 hours unless instructed otherwise.
Avoid intense exercise, saunas, and alcohol for 24–48 hours post-treatment.
Keep skin hydrated and avoid harsh skincare or exfoliation for 3–5 days.
Follow your provider’s massage instructions, if applicable (for example, “5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days” for Sculptra®).
